Nadia Khodasevich-Leger, was from a very poor Belarus family, that moved to Russia during the 1 World War. She is said to have passion for painting since the early childhood yet the hard peasant live did not leave much space and possibilities for developing it. Nadia left home when she was 15 and entered state artist work shop in Smolensk where she had a chance to and learn from Kazimir Malevich. She later became a student of Art Academy in Warsaw and got married. Her Polish husband and she moved to France where Nadezhda first heard of Fernad Leger, French cubist/surrealist painter, architect and film-maker. She applied to Leger art school and was admitted. Nadya became a student of Leger art school and specialized in graphics, mosaics and painting.

Later she conducted her own art classes at the studio and was the assistant of the famous master. After the death of his wife in the 1950th, Leger married Nadia Khodossevitch, who was 20 years younger. The marriage did not last longe though as Leger died at the age of 74. Nadie Leger became Leger inheritor and later in 1955 she assembled the artist's collection and created the Leger museum that became the National Museum of France. The museum also contained the art work of Nadia Leger: mosaic portraits of celebrities: Peter Tchaikovsky, Leo Tolsyoy, Nadezhda Krupskaya, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Maya Plisetskaya.

The art works of Nadezhda Khodasevich-Leger is also represented in different world museums and private collections. Many galleries sell her works. Being a communist as her husband, Nadia Leger is credited for developing the relationship with the USSR and was ordered the USSR Order of the Red Banner of Labour in 1972.

She brought and donated her husband's works and her own ones to the USSR and Poland. Nadia Khodasevich-Leger died in 1982and was buried in France.
