November 18, 6000BC: November 18 is the birthday of Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost), the main character of the New Year celebrations.

These were the children that invented this day because winter frost comes to Ded Moroz's home town, city of Veliky Ustyug in the Vologda Oblast on 18 November. In 1998 Ded Moroz settled in Veliky Ustyug, so his Votchina (wooden palace in the pine forest) and his city residence was built.

Everybody can visit Ded Moroz any time during the whole year.
